Meet Rachel Shifflet

MSN, RN, RD, LDN, CEDS

Registered Dietitian.

Nurse Practitioner (coming soon!)

Likely lighting a candle that smells like Abercrombie.

When we listen to everyone else telling us what we should eat and how we should look,
we never get the chance to figure out
who we actually are.

Cultivating a liberated plate comes from raising awareness about how our lived experiences and systems of oppression silence our most authentic selves. Healing is about the food, but also not about the food. Our goal is to be curious, and explore the emotional grip that societal standards and social media’s What I Eat In A Day videos have on our ability to enjoy mealtimes.

Empowering Provider, Emotional-Depth Explorer

While I love working with teens & adults who are looking to create a new relationship with food, I especially love working with folks who…
  • Have a history of trauma or traumatic events
  • Are an adoptee
  • Find nourishing themselves challenging because of perfectionism
  • Are open to getting comfortable with the uncomfortable
